I couldn't find anything I really liked online, and was sick of searching, so I decided to try something I've always wanted to try: making my own.
I've always been enamored with game promo art, so I thought I'd try my hand at doing a similar style of scene and this is the result (the style is intended to be something of a cross between Psychonauts and Earthworm Jim):

Some of the elements are a little rough, and it isn't as clear as it could be (as I drew it smaller then resized it), but I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Perhaps next time I'm looking for a fresh new wallpaper, I'll have another go at something like this.

You know, Ben, your work never ceases to delight me. I think you should seriously consider doing your artwork for a living, if not full time then as a freelancer. Or do you think going professional, with all the incumbent deadlines, etc, would put a dampener on your creativity?
